Presenter: Wenley Ferguson, Director of Habitat Restoration for Save the Bay, the recipient of the 2018 US Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Merit Award, and a Resident of Quonochontaug's Shady Harbor.

Come listen to an overview of the recent Quonnie Breachway marsh restoration efforts and the associated dredging operation.

Program: THE QUONNIE BREACHWAY PRE-'38'

Presenter: Rich Wells, QHS Board Member

This presentation will explore historical records, oral histories, pictures and and film to discover how nature and people have changed the course of the breachway and how this has influenced the past development of the breachway leading to a unique sense of community before the 1938 Hurricane.

​

A briefannual meeting will begin at 7:00 PM and be immediately followed by the Breachway program presentation.

​

Following the program presentation, all are welcome to tour the QHS's Research and Archive Center, located on the lower level of the Grange.
